Hayato Yoneto applied to our foundation in 2019 and received the top sports scholarship.
He writes below how this scholarship impacted him:
"I was able to continue my season comfortably financial wise. In my final year of high school, I received a lot of support from the local community. This allowed me to participate in the U20 National sprint squad camps held across the nation and covered transport fees to compete in national competitions. The Kate Moetaua Foundation definitely was part of my supporting crew which allowed me to continue doing what I do. Since then I’ve still been competing, without the help i’ve received I wouldn’t be where I am now!"
